Can't use seeks when using init script

Description

I installed the seeks-experimental package (Debian Lenny).
When executing the init script file, seeks successfully starts. But then when I run a query I just get a blank screen.
Running it in manual mode (i.e. seeks /etc/seeks/config) does the work.
